PolyDyne’s release of version 6.0 includes a new module, platform certifications, and Unicode support, all within a sleek new interface.

This major release of the web-based solution suite, contains new supplier sourcing functionality, three technical certifications, and internationalization through support of Unicode. Additionally, the applications have an updated look that makes navigation easier for users with an appealing and sleek new user interface.
The release of 6.0 expands the footprint of QuoteWin and DesignWin by building upon its sophisticated base of functionality for product costing and RFQ management by adding a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) module and including significant enhancements to the Labor estimation module. The new SRM module houses all supplier attributes and various search and filtering techniques to locate and evaluate the best source for proving specific commodities and/or supporting particular geographical regions. “Our Fortune 100 customers want an increasing number of sourcing decisions that impact direct material spend to be contained within a disciplined process flow,” said Linda Elkins, Vice President of PolyDyne Software. “Customers have asked PolyDyne to streamline and standardize supply chain processes so that they can be replicated across various global regions and contained within a flexible application that also provides data archiving, auditing and collaboration of the sourcing decisions ultimately made,” added Elkins.

The added development for international character sets and the Unicode database coupled with the certifications will provide customers increased flexibility in global deployments, easier integration with their ERP software and faster processing speed throughout the applications.
One of the analytical capabilities added to v.6.0 includes the ability to customize the report templates from the standard suite offered. A Reporting Dashboard displays a log of information on the historical reports requested by the user and the status of reports in progress. Enhancements in the BOM Module and historical component pricing retrieval, as well as powerful new Contract Pricing queries, round out the release to make it a significant upgrade that will be met enthusiastically by PolyDyne’s global customer base.
