PolyDyne Press Conference – SupplyWin™ 3.0 Release Highlights New Features for Suppliers and Distributors

Austin, TX – August 26, 1998 – Adding new transmission options, enhancing parts searching capabilities, and harnessing the full power of a 32 bit application are the main features of PolyDyne Development Corporation’s release of SupplyWin™ 3.0 – a software application allowing suppliers and distributors to manage their response to requests for quotes in the contract manufacturing industry.

SupplyWin, which allows quotes to be electronically transmitted, is designed to significantly reduce the time needed for suppliers to provide quotes to manufacturers. Currently, 70% of the top 20 distributors in the electronics industry operate SupplyWin – the new release represents further support of existing users and more comprehensive support for new SupplyWin customers.

SupplyWin contains a relational database for organizing and preparing bids and also functions as a quote management system by recording a history of previous quotes. Additionally, SupplyWin has the capability to generate and store reports. SupplyWin was originally developed as a complementary product for QuoteWin®, PolyDyne’s flagship product that automates the quote development process for manufacturers, but virtually any format of RFQ data can be electronically mapped into the system. The release of SupplyWin 3.0 further enhances the functionality of the product.

“Suppliers have a need to send design documents and schematics along with their responses to requests for quotes,” said David Tabb, president of PolyDyne Development Corp. “This new release addresses that need, along with adding other enhancements to the current version of SupplyWin.”

In addition to having the added capability of sending design documents and schematics, the new version of SupplyWin also features these enhancements:

• 32-bit Core
• New PolyNet VAN Mail Transport Program
• Search engine for identifying manufacturer part numbers and quoted manufacturer part numbers in
historical price lookups
• Sorting capabilities by customer record
• A faster, more intuitive user interface
